Stardew Valley

April is when I play video games as an ode to my gamertag's birthday.  This year, I decided to delve into a game called Stardew Valley . It’s an indie farming game where you inherit a farm from your grandpa and decide to leave behind your concrete-jungle life to embrace country living. You move to Pelican Town, where you meet many people, and can even date and marry one of them. Farming, fishing, mining, and animal husbandry are the main activities that will occupy most of your time. The game is structured around four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. I’ve just finished spring, started summer, and I’m hooked! What fascinates me the most is that the entire game was created by one person. Yes, everything; the code, the art, the music, the gameplay mechanics. Eric Barone (a.k.a. ConcernedApe) spent four years building the game solo, and just before releasing he thought it was shit. But when you play it, it’s as addictive as smoking. As I’ve grown older, I’ve started to app...

Pahalgam

It has been over 24 hours since the atrocious terrorist attack in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The innocent victims were segregated based on their religion, and shot on point blank if they weren't muslims. Heart still sinks thinking about the heinous crime, and there's a lot of anger to avenge the deaths of its citizens within the country. Many little children lost their fathers, many newlyweds lost their husbands, and what for? All in the name of your god?  I recently saw a podcast of Khan sir, he's a youtuber-teacher from Patna, Bihar. He made a valid point saying that these idiots use the name of their god before carrying such detestable crime. Is it right to defame your god like this? Which god would want you to take away and murder his creation, that too in his name? I pray for the innocent victims of this terrorist act, and may their families get the strength to bear the loss of their loved ones. Om Shanti. Jai Hind.

USA vs. China, where are we headed?

Blog 2, let's get straight into it. What's happening with Trump? Is he as insane as people make him out to be, or is he up to something genius which people can't see? I'd like to believe the latter. A US, China showdown was eventually inevitable considering the dramatic rise of the Chinese economy coupled with the rising US debt.  Since the ping-pong diplomacy between Nixon and Mao, America decided to export its blue-collar jobs to the mandarins. Why get your hands greasy when you can hire someone at a low cost to do the dirty work for you? This could be seen as the foundation stone for the manufacturing behemoth, that is China. Sweatshops were set, skills developed, American companies flooded with orders to up their margins and bring down their costs - and it was a win-win, because those who embraced the wontons, won by tons. Back in the West, while Americans enjoyed the exploitation and cheaper products, their own blue-collared workers transitioned towards a service-...

What and Why I intend to write.

Hi guys, I'm Milan and this is my blog-format website where I plan to pen down my observations, thoughts, research, reviews, ideas, and most important of them all, opinions. I'd like to believe I'm primarily a keen stock market observer because that takes most of my time, but I'm intrigued by many things which include travel, tennis, tv shows, books, chess, good food, video games, politics, and recently I've been really into F1 (tu tu tu du). As far as the Dalal St. goes, I've been an active participant for more than 8 years, and it has been a tremendous journey so far. I chose to call the website 'Just Wing It' because that's the motto I live by, spontaneity clubbed with curiosity; Alright that's bullshit. I had this website because I was to start a business with the same name along with a friend of mine. It didn't pan out, but someday it would. The 'what and why', let's address the giraffe in the sauna. I do a lot of stock speci...
